I first got an idea to do a Beastie Boys vs Pink Floyd remix when I saw the Beasties video for "Gratitude". In the video they are mimicking Pink Floyd's Live in Pompeii film. So when I saw that they were offering free acapellas on the official Beastie Boys website, I couldn't resist. All the beats were made chopping up multiple Floyd samples over drums I made in Reason and Recycle. I layered keyboards, synths, sound fx and bass over top and sequenced everything in Reason. - Beyond Z, producer and emcee of The Longfellow Project
